Screenprinted calligram of kate bush in her literary pop hit Wuthering Heights. On sra1 metallic copper stock, with pearl spray stencils and gold copper blend , a burnt umber and purple blend and purple black blends of screenprinted layers and red over gold on the lips. This piece was a long journey , for although iconic reduced to big hair red lips and big brown eyes but the subtleties in her likeness and the soft lighting made this a challenge to transform into calligram. Sometimes the only way is months of repetition . I’m very happy with these artists proofs I’d really like to do an edition.
